Organic Elegance on the Coast of Maine: Featured on Wed Vibes
Kathryn and Mike’s Blue Hill Bay celebration was the kind of wedding that feels effortlessly timeless—rooted in community, guided by intention, and elevated by thoughtful design. Recently featured on Wed Vibes, their coastal Maine wedding blended natural beauty with personal touches for a weekend full of heart and style.
The couple chose to host their wedding at Kathryn’s family home, overlooking the peaceful coastline of Blue Hill Bay. The ceremony was held on the lawn, framed by misty skies and surrounded by native Queen Anne’s Lace. Inspired by the landscape, the design and florals, led by Lani Toscano Design and her team, leaned into organic elegance with a classic white and green palette. Soft blue water glasses, sage green bars, and hand-painted plates added subtle moments of color. Kathryn walked down the aisle with Mike by her side, a decision that made the emotional exchange of vows all the more meaningful.
The tented reception, located on a neighboring property, felt both unfussy and refined. Our lighting design brought warmth to the space with layers of ambient lighting that played beautifully against the coastal fog and clusters of mirror balls made light dance across the dancefloor. Custom rentals from Squiggle, Heartwood Essentials, and others gave the event a distinctive, curated feel, while paper goods from Wouldn’t It Be Lovely featured a custom map of Blue Hill—complete with an illustration of the couple’s dog, Bear.
Despite the weather shifting mid-day, guests embraced the atmosphere and took to the dance floor early, staying through the final song thanks to an incredible performance by Hudson Horns. Kathryn and Mike’s wedding was a celebration of love, place, and the people who made it all come together—a true reflection of organic elegance on the coast of Maine.
