Colorful Mountain Magic: Fuchsia Lights & Starburst Pendants for a One-of-a-Kind Vermont Wedding
When your bride tells her planner, “Make it weird,” you know it’s going to be a weekend to remember. Set in the rural Vermont mountains during peak foliage, this two-day wedding celebration was equal parts heartfelt and wildly fun—and we were thrilled to bring our lighting design to both moments.
A Warm & Intimate Ceremony
Friday’s intimate celebration was as cozy as it was meaningful. Guests were welcomed into a serene outdoor setting framed by glowing fall foliage in fiery shades of red, orange, and yellow. Velvet sofas invited loved ones to sit back with warm drinks as the couple exchanged vows beneath twinkling strands of cascading tree lights.
Afterward, an indoor farm-to-table dinner followed, where the ambiance was elevated by our custom lighting installation above the dining table. Soft Edison bulbs were suspended among a canopy of greenery and florals, creating a romantic and immersive atmosphere that complemented the natural wood tones and candlelit tables.
A Bold and Colorful Mountaintop Reception
The next day? A complete vibe shift—in the best way.
The large tented reception was a technicolor dream filled with personal touches, maximalist patterns, and joyful surprises at every turn. Griffin & Griffin provided a full spectrum of lighting design, including:
- A vibrant blue draped tent entrance adorned with fairy lights and butterflies to set the tone from the very first step.
- Our gold starburst pendant lights, adding sparkle and statement to the expansive clear-top tent.
- Custom fuchsia cone lighting, designed just for this wedding, creating a bold, playful focal point above the reception space.
As the sun set, the lighting brought the celebration to life, enhancing the energy of the dance floor and illuminating the incredible installations around the tent—from floral-covered bars to tarot readers, sketch artists, and a bouquet-building station.
With its mix of whimsy, color, and boundary-pushing design, this wedding weekend was everything Sara and Josh dreamed it would be—and such a creative playground for the creative team!
