Vogue Features Colorful Seal Harbor, Maine Multicultural Wedding
Griffin & Griffin is thrilled to announce that a wedding we contributed to was recently featured in Vogue! Anisha Ford and Robert Kunkel’s vibrant celebration in Seal Harbor, Maine, beautifully blended East and West traditions while showcasing their deep love story and connection to the breathtaking coastal location.
Hosted at the bride’s family home—a historic estate once owned by Nelson Rockefeller—this Seal Harbor, Maine multicultural wedding began with a Hindu ceremony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, followed by a Western ceremony the next day. With expert planning by R.L. Sisson Events and design inspiration drawn from the couple’s relationship, the weekend’s events were as meaningful as they were visually stunning.
As Vogue highlights, the couple’s planner brought their values to life through thoughtful design details, including a floral “cloud” installation by Honeysuckle Way and custom escort cards inspired by their dog, Naga. “Our wedding was seamless and beautiful,” Anisha shared with Vogue, crediting the amazing team of vendors who brought their vision to life.
For the Saturday reception, Griffin & Griffin provided elegant lighting and draping in the tent, adding depth and warmth to the space as guests celebrated beneath the artfully arranged floral clouds and a vibrant sunset over the harbor. Photographer Abigail Lewis captured every stunning detail, from the intimate ceremony moments to the fireworks and brass parade that closed out the evening.
We are honored to have been part of this Seal Harbor, Maine multicultural wedding and to see it recognized in Vogue! Congratulations to Anisha and Robert on their incredible celebration and to all the vendors who contributed to such an unforgettable weekend.
