Last summer, Griffin & Griffin Lighting had the privilege of illuminating the enchanting black tie wooded wedding of Brette and Jared at The Barn at Flanagan Farm. Brette and Jared’s love story began with a setup orchestrated by Jared’s brother and a dear friend of Brette’s from college, who are now happily married themselves. The proposal was nothing short of a fairy tale, taking place atop Killington mountain in Vermont, with their loyal pup Ziggy by their side. The surprise celebration continued at the Back Room in Pittsfield, VT, where their entire family gathered from all corners of the country, defying the challenges of a pandemic to witness this beautiful moment.

For their wedding, the couple envisioned a black-tie affair nestled in the heart of the woods. Planner and floral designer Lani Toscano Design enlisted Griffin & Griffin Lighting and a talented team of event professionals to bring this dream to life. The color palette and decor choices were a fusion of lush greens, deep jewel tones, and earthy hues, creating an ambiance that was both elegant and organic.

The planning process, spanning nearly two years, was a labor of love. Brette and Jared formed strong connections with their vendors, making the journey a joyous and collaborative one. On the big day, staying at the charming farmhouse on Flanagan Farm’s property allowed them to witness the transformation from the early morning preparations to the magical evening festivities, all without having to leave the idyllic setting.
