Copper Accented Nonantum Resort Wedding

On a beautiful weekend last July, Alyssa and Chris were married in a beautiful copper accented Nonantum Resort wedding. This award-winning waterfront resort located in Kennebunkport, Maine boasts its own lighthouse and is walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Dock Square. Couple the serene outdoor setting with Nonantum Resort‘s luxurious accommodations and it’s no wonder that this location was the perfect venue for Alyssa and Chris to celebrate their special day!

Working closely with Emily Elizabeth Events, Alyssa and Chris planned for an elegant summer wedding, bringing in some of the best creative partners in Maine to make their wedding day dreams come true. The day began in a gorgeous seaside ceremony at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church which is conveniently located less than a mile from the resort. Surrounded by their loved ones, Alyssa and Chris exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife in an outdoor ceremony with the Gulf of Maine and the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop for the occasion. The glowing couple then escaped for their first portraits as newlyweds while sailing back to Nonantum Resort where they’d welcomed to their reception.

Back at Nonantum Resort, a spectacular tented reception awaited them on the lawn. The Sperry Tents Seascoast tent was filled with a mixture of rectangular wooden farm tables with soft linen runners and round tables with creamy linens draped over them. Floral centerpieces by Watershed Floral filled the reception with lovely textures and ivory and peachy toned florals paired with vibrant greenery. Lights were strung throughout the tent so that as the sun set, the whole tent glowed with a brilliant warmth. We loved creating a custom lighting installation of copper accented bulbs hanging from varying lengths from a structure that was covered in leafy greenery.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by the Nonantum Resort and a sweet treat of ice cream by Goose Rocks Dairy. Alyssa and Chris danced as husband and wife and the dancefloor was soon filled with their family and friends who danced the night away to the toons played by Matty B Entertainment. As always, we are wishing our lovely couple a happily ever after!
