Paying homage to their joint love for the open water and all things Maine, Margo and Collin held their Casco Bay wedding last summer on historic House Island. Planned and designed by A Family Affair Maine and with beautiful summer hued florals by Farm House Floral, Margo and Collin’s celebration was as cheery and charming as they are as a couple and we are so grateful to have played a part in their day! Keep scrolling for details of their wedding day and gorgeous images captured by the talented Jamie Mercurio!
Our lovely bride and groom first exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony. Touching vows were made and poems and stories were shared by friends and loved ones. Margot and Collin exited the church as husband and wife and began their journey to House Island with their wedding party and guests. A ferry ride carried the newlyweds and guests to the 14 acre Casco Bay island, House Island, where their reception celebration would be had. The private location provided the ambiance and beautiful setting that Collin and Margot had been looking for, and the day could not have turned out to be more beautiful!
Cocktail hour was held on the lawn where The Bread and Butter Co. provided delicious eats including tray passed delights and Maine staples such as lobster rolls. The celebration then moved into the tent where beautiful wood farm tables and linen cloaked rounds awaited guests along with bright summery florals in hues of pink, blush, coral, peach, and ivory. The vibrant florals were paired with blue taper candles, mixed metals, and pewter colored linen napkins folded perfectly on each plate. Our circular chandelier covered in greenery hung above the dance floor and created a lovely focal point beneath the beautiful tent. Margot and Collin would share their first dance as husband and wife beneath this fixture and as the evening proceeded, the dance floor would soon be filled in celebration of their beautiful union!
It’s almost been a year since their Casco Bay wedding but it is still a vivid memory that we have enjoyed looking back on! We hope this first year has been filled with nothing but love, just like their wedding day was.
